Why Does Nothing Work For Me?
Life Difficulty
When effort across multiple areas produces no traction simultaneously, the cause is almost always structural. The chart can name it — and naming it is the first piece of relief.
The experience of 'nothing working' is rarely literal. It usually means several areas have stalled at once and the cumulative weight has overwhelmed normal coping. Vedic astrology reads this as a specific configuration: usually a difficult Mahadasha-Antardasha combination, an active Sade Sati, or a Rahu-Ketu transit on the chart's most active houses.
Identifying the configuration shifts the experience from personal failure to recognisable weather. Most people who can name their period stop spiralling within days of the reading.
The cumulative-pressure pattern
When two or more difficult transits stack — for example, Saturn through the 10th plus Rahu through the 7th plus a difficult Antardasha — the cumulative weight produces the 'nothing works' experience even though each individual factor is manageable. The chart is operating multiple difficult lessons simultaneously.
This stacking is time-bound. Usually one of the layers shifts within 6 to 18 months, and the relief is disproportionately large because removing one layer often releases the others.
The dasha that does not contain success
Some periods are simply not designed for visible success. A Mahadasha governed by a planet poorly placed in your chart, with no benefic Antardasha currently active, often produces extended periods where effort does not convert into outcome. The chart is doing inner work; outer work is temporarily not the priority.
Recognising this prevents the most damaging response: assuming you are the problem and doubling effort that the chart is not equipped to reward yet.
The healing reframe
The most useful Vedic reframe for 'nothing works' is structural: identify which planet is producing the period, what it is teaching, when it ends, and what the next period contains. Most clients can hold the difficulty when it has shape.
This is also a period to refuse self-comparison. Other people's charts are in different phases; their visible movement is not evidence of your stuckness. The chart's emphasis shifts cyclically and honestly comparing across cycles is impossible.
